(RTTNews) - The South Korea stock market has climbed higher in four straight sessions, advancing more than 80 points or 3.1 percent along the way. Now at a fresh record closing high, the KOSPI now sits just above the 2,820-point plateau although investors figure to cash in on Wednesday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is soft as traders take a wait-and-see attitude regarding stimulus and coronavirus vaccines. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses slightly lower and the Asian markets figure to split the difference. The KOSPI finished modestly higher on Tuesday following gains from the financial shares, technology stocks and automobile producers. For the day, the index added 11.91 points or 0.42 percent to finish at 2,820.51 after trading between 2,792.06 and 2,823.44. Volume was 1 billion shares worth 19.1 trillion won. There were 537 gainers and 334 decliners.
